From the first bite, Taza captivates with dishes that strike a perfect balance between traditional flavors and contemporary presentation. The menu boasts an array of appetizers that are ideal for sharing, including the velvety Hummos Fatteh—a layered masterpiece of chickpeas, crispy pita chips, and tahini yogurt, finished with pine nuts—and the smoky, luscious Baba, a purée of chargrilled eggplant with the bright acidity of lemon. For those seeking vegetable-forward options, the Mujadara, a comforting dish of lentils and rice crowned with fried onions, warms both heart and palate.
Taza’s inviting, modern space complements its cuisine perfectly; the clean, welcoming atmosphere effortlessly captures downtown Cleveland’s energetic vibe. Attentive, knowledgeable staff enhance the dining experience as they guide guests through the menu and cater to individual preferences, creating a sense of warmth and hospitality that makes each visit memorable.
Feedback from patrons echoes this sentiment. Shawn O’Hara fondly recalls finding the traditional Kibbie Nayyeh done "just like Mom used to make," a rare and cherished treat in the city. Another guest, t abe, highlights the tender, well-seasoned shishkabob paired with flavorful sides and a standout garlic spread, appreciating the combination of authenticity and modern comfort. While some have noted minor hiccups, such as table space during busier service times or varied opinions on dishes like Manakish, the overall consensus praises Taza for quality, consistency, and value—especially for those seeking a reliably delicious Mediterranean meal that respects both tradition and dietary inclusivity.
If you’re craving a taste of Lebanon that celebrates fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and warm hospitality, Taza - a Lebanese Grill stands as a must-visit destination in Cleveland’s culinary landscape.
On my first visit to downtown Cleveland, I looked online for a place that served real Kibbie Nayyeh the traditional way because I've only eaten it prepared by family. I decided to try Taza A Lebanese Grill, and I was not disappointed. Brandon, my server, was excellent. He made sure I had everything I needed. The Kibbie Nayyeh was delicious, just like Mom used to make. It was so good to eat there.
This is a solid 4 star restaurant. It wasn't the BEST food ever. But it was fairly priced, quickly made, and tasted perfectly good. Was in for a business trip and this was probably the best meal we had in a quick visit. So for a non steak house option I would recommend stopping in. (Drinks were only okay, but not overpriced)
I stopped at Taza in Cleveland and ordered the shishkabob. The meat was tender, flavorful, and nicely seasoned. It paired well with the sides. The Garlic spread was really good. The restaurant itself is clean and welcoming, with a modern atmosphere that fits the downtown Cleveland vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made the dining experience smooth. Not the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had, but definitely solid. Prices seemed a little expensive but still affordable for me. If you’re in downtown Cleveland looking for Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, or Lebanese food, Taza is a dependable choice worth checking out.
Great food. It actually is taza. But I am not sure if this the correct portion for large assorted baklava, there barely is any baklava here
Tried Taza recently, and honestly, it's a bit overhyped. The service was okay, but the main issue we faced was that our table was too small. The staff kept bringing more dishes without clearing the empty plates, which made it a bit uncomfortable. We ordered the Manakish, which I personally didn’t like, though my friends found it okay. I had the Mujadara, which was nice, but the onions on top were burnt and had a bitter taste. I added spicy hummus and tabbouleh to improve the flavor. My friend ordered the Mixed Grill 2—two of the meats were tasty, but he didn’t like the beef kafta much. For drinks, we ordered the Chocolate Strawberry Espresso, which was not good at all. We also tried the Blue Paloma with berries, and it was just okay. Despite having a reservation, we still had to wait outside for five minutes. Overall, the experience was just okay, but I don’t think it fully lived up to the hype.
The food here is excellent. It is fresh and served quickly. We were greeted warmly. The service was exceptional by Randa. She was friendly and she offered options on the menu. The restaurant is very good sized. I like the classy look. My lamb tasted perfect and it married the salad perfectly. Everything was very fresh. I like this restaurant and I will return. It is a short walk to the Cleveland Jack casino.
Fantastic food! We tried a little bit of everything, it was all good. Server was very nice, it wasn't too busy for a Friday night. If you like Lebanese food, try this place. You won't be disappointed!
The food was fresh. We ordered a chicken shawarma plate and a beef shawarma plate. One with rice and the other with fries. Appetizers were tabouli and hummus. The beef and chicken were tender and seasoned well, there was oil and sesame seed dipping sauce with homemade bread brought to the table. Our server was friendly and efficient. The portion sizes aren't huge but very good. The dessert was just ok. I would definitely cone back for the shish options!
